About us

Pupil & Sport premium

The government has allocated pupil premium funding to all schools to help raise attainment of pupils eligible for free school meals (FSM), children who have been eligible for free school meals at some time in the last six years, looked after children (LAC), children adopted from care, and children who have parents serving in the armed forces.

The purpose of this funding is to ensure that all learners make progress.

At Corpusty Primary School, we have high aspirations and ambitions for our children and we believe that no child should be left behind. We strongly believe that it is not about where you come from but your passion and thirst for knowledge, and your dedication and commitment to learning that make the difference between success and failure.

We are determined to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential.  Our Pupil Premium funding has been used to adapt current school provision to meet the needs of these groups within school. We have achieved this using a variety of different targeted strategies.

Strategies

A. Maintaining four class structure and adequate staff to provide more interventions and support for all, ensuring a priority for this support is children entitled to pupil premium. This will allow us to provide more support overall and to be more targeted. Keeping class sizes down and levels of support as high as possible means we can target all children more efectively to make progress.
